Above is a pic of Lt. Colonel James Galbraith, Regimental Colour in hand, alongside Bobbie the regimental dog and some of the other "Last Eleven" survivors of the 66th (Berkshire) Regiment, making their last stand in one of the walled gardens just South of Khig village, a few miles West of the Afghan town of Maiwand.

3rd Bombay Cavalry pics from Igor the painter...

My family and I just got back from 4th of July trip to visit my gaming buddy Matthew Rigdon's family ranch in Texas, which was a lot of fun. Adding to the fun while there was receiving pics of my finished unit of 3rd Bombay Cavalry from Igor, my painter in Brooklyn.

At this very moment Igor is probably en route to Valley Forge for Historicon, which he usually attends, so I'll take this opportunity to wish him a safe and happy trip and lots of victories once he gets there!

These are the Perry Sudan Bengal Lancers I converted into sword-armed cav, as shown in a recent post. As usual, Igor did a terrific job, as you can see here:

Here's a LINK to Igor's newish blog, which always has some recently well-painted figures on display -- everything from sci-fi, horror and pulp to his beloved ancients & medievals and occasionally more recent historicals like mine.

  2. Thanks Volleyfire, I certainly agree! Right now I'm hoping Igor managed to ship them to me before heading to Historicon. As always I am looking forward to their arrival...

  3. Many thanks Volleyfire, We definitely concur! At this time I am wishing Igor were able to deliver these phones me personally prior to going to Historicon. Because usually I'm getting excited about their own appearance...
